Jared Dudley agrees on 3-year deal in Phoenix

The Phoenix Suns will sign a three-year, $30 million deal with unrestricted free agent forward Jared Dudley.

What It Means:

The veteran sharpshooter has spent two separate stints in Phoenix during his career, which were some of the best years of his career. He averaged over 40 percent from beyond the arc in two of those seasons, and in three of them he averaged double-digit scoring. He will return to the Suns next season and likely provide shooting depth off the bench.

Dudley played 81 games in Washington last season and averaged 7.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 25.9 minutes per game. He shot 42.0 percent from beyond the arc, and posted a .581 effective field goal percentage, which was the second best mark of his career. He had a nERD of 1.0.
