Dion Waiters is locked in with the Kings
Free agent guard/forward Dion Waiters is "locked in" on joining the Sacramento Kings, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee is hearing.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will have the ability to match any offer the Kings throw at him, so Jones speculates that the Kings could offer a deal worth around $18 million per year. Waiters also has interest from the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, but the Kings should be considered the favorites right now.
Waiters ranked 127th with a -4.9 nERD this season after averaging 27.6 minutes in 78 games. He averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals with a .460 effective field goal percentage.
