D.J. Augustin contract worth $29M over four years
Orlando Magic point guard D.J. Augustin's contract is worth $29 million over the next four seasons.
At 28-years-old, Augustin will probably log around 20 minutes a night for Orlando as the primary backup point guard behind Elfrid Payton. He will also be a candidate for two-guard lineups and this addition will likely bump C.J. Watson out of the rotation. Augustin is only on the radar in deeper fantasy leagues.
Following a midseason trade to the Denver Nuggets, Augustin averaged 11.6 points, 4.7 assists, 1.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.6 3-pointers in 28 contests last season. He also made 40.5 percent of his shots from beyond the arc and should prove to be a nice compliment to Payton (32.6 percent from deep). Augustin ranked 78th in the league with a 0.2 nERD last year.
