Mavericks' Salah Mejri to undergo minor knee procedure

Dallas Mavericks center Salah Mejri will go under the knife on Thursday, reportedly undergoing a "minor procedure" on his knee.

What It Means:

It will be an arthroscopic knee surgery, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN. Recovery isn't expected to take long, and Mejri should be ready by the time Dallas' training camp rolls around.

Mejri had a very encouraging rookie season, ranking 71st in the NBA with a 1.0 nERD. He averaged only 11.7 minutes per game, but he posted a 17.0 percent Total Rebound Rate, 7.6 percent Block Rate and .636 True Shooting Percentage.
