Suns' Eric Bledsoe resumes basketball activities

Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe has resumed basketball activities after suffering a torn right meniscus last season.

What It Means:

Bledsoe tore his meniscus last December and he opted for surgery instead of the removal that some athletes opt for. It's the second time he had this surgery, but the first was on the left knee in 2013-'14 that forced him to miss 39 games that season. When healthy, he is a force on the court, and even though his name has been floated in trade rumors, it would take a huge haul for the Suns to part ways with their star guard.

Before going down, Bledsoe was averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 34.2 minutes per game last season. He was posting an Effective Field Goal Percentage of 50.2, but had a nERD of just 0.7 in 2015-'16.
