Bulls acquire Robin Lopez from Knicks
Center Robin Lopez has been traded to the Chicago Bulls from the New York Knicks in Wednesday's Derrick Rose trade.
This trade means Pau Gasol is as good as gone from Chicago. Lopez has become a solid starting center and will likely receive close to the 27.1 minutes per game he averaged last season with the Knicks. The system Bulls' coach Fred Hoiberg has in place might be tougher for Lopez to fit in to than what the Knicks ran, but Lopez also had success with Terry Stotts when he was in Portland. Lopez makes for a solid late round fantasy pick and should receive more offensive chances with Chicago.
Lopez had a solid 2.6 nERD last season, which ranked 55th, in 82 games played. He averaged 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.4 assists per game, while posting a 57.4 True Shooting Percentage.
