New York Knicks guard Arron Afflalo will reportedly opt out of his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Afflalo had a down year in New York, and with the salary cap set to explode, Afflalo looks poised to cash in one more time on a potential long-term deal. He will be 31 by the time next season starts, so he is taking a slight risk leaving $8 million on the table next season for a chance at a bigger deal elsewhere.
Afflalo averaged 12.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 treys in 2016-'17 and won't be much of a fantasy option outside of deeper leagues no matter where he ends up. His -4.6 nERD ranked 126th.
