Herb Jones returning to Pelicans on 4-year deal
Herb Jones and the New Orleans Pelicans agreed to a four-year contract on Friday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Pelicans turned down their team option on Jones' contract and opted to sign him to a four-year deal worth up to $54 million. Jones, the 35th overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, has started 135 games over the past two seasons.
In 66 games started during the 2022-23 season, Jones averaged 9.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 23.9 FanDuel points per game.
