Dallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea went under the knife the day after the season ended, undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right medial meniscus.
Barea, who was also dealing with a groin injury, reports that he is already feeling great, and should have no problem returning to basketball activities in time for training camp.
Barea finished 2016 with a -1.7 nERD, ranking 97th in the NBA, and averaged 10.9 points and 4.1 assists per game while posting a career-high .516 Effective Field Goal Percentage.
