Grizzlies' Marc Gasol said he should be running soon

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol (foot) said he expects to run on a low-gravity treadmill in the near future.

What It Means:

He's unlikely to play for Spain in the Olympics due to his foot fracture. His injury is no joke for big men, so the Grizzlies may want him to sit out. Although, Gasol said the team isn't pressuring him on the decision. He said he's met with new coach David Fizdale and likes his forward-thinking approach, so the new approach is something to watch next year.

Gasol averaged 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 blocks in 34.4 minutes per game this past season. He only played in 52 games, and he had a nERD of -0.1 for the season.
