Raptors' Bismack Biyombo suspended for 2016-17 opener
Toronto Raptors center Bismack Biyombo will be suspended for the 2016-17 season opener.
The league upheld his flagrant foul on Kevin Love in Game 6, meaning he accumulated enough flagrant foul points to warrant a suspension. Biyombo is set to hit free agency this summer, and while he has said that he would like to return to Toronto, they may not be able to compete with opposing offers as some teams are reportedly willing to give him at least $15 million per year.
He ranked 40th in the NBA with a 4.4 nERD in the regular season, and his 20.8 Total Rebound Rate was a career-best, while his .586 True Shooting Percentage was the second highest mark of his career. Biyombo averaged 6.2 points and 9.4 rebounds with 1.4 blocks in the playoffs while logging 25.3 minutes per contest (20 games, 10 starts).
