Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is likely to re-sign with the team that drafted him, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
While fans across the league are hoping Durant will sign in their city as an unrestricted free agent, Stein reports most league insiders predict Durant will sign a two-year max deal with the Thunder with an opt-out clause after the first year. We'll keep an eye on news surrounding Durant as free agency approaches, but it doesn't sound like he's going anywhere.
He posted a 19.7 nERD in the regular season, good for second in the NBA. In the postseason, he averaged a playoff-high 28.4 points as well as 7.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
