Anthony Edwards (ankle) iffy Saturday for Timberwolves
Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Anthony Edwards (right ankle sprain) is questionable for Saturday versus the Toronto Raptors.
Edwards sprained his ankle in Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls and was forced to make an early exit. Taurean Prince started the second half in place of Edwards, so he is a candidate to enter the lineup if needed. Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Austin Rivers (back, questionable), Mike Conley, Kyle Anderson, Jaden McDaniels, and Rudy Gobert (ankle, questionable) would all be in line for more work on offense if Edwards is out. Edwards has played in every game for the Timberwolves this season.
Per numberFire's NBA Heat Map, the Timberwolves' implied total (107.75) and the game total (224.5) are both the second-lowest on Saturday's eight-game slate. Edwards is leading the team with a 29.8% usage rate this season (16th in the NBA).
