Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside's preference is to re-sign with the Heat "if all things are equal financially," according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
This means it will likely come down to whether the Heat are willing to offer him a max contract, as it looks like he should be able to command that kind of offer elsewhere.
He ranked ninth in the league with a 12.4 nERD this season, while posting a 23.1 percent total rebound rate, a league-leading 9.7 percent block rate and a career-high .629 True Shooting Percentage.
