Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) doubtful Thursday for Grizzlies
Memphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (right thigh soreness) is doubtful for Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Jackson is headed for his first absence since December 5 in the second leg of the Grizzlies' back-to-back on Thursday. Brandon Clarke, Santi Aldama, David Roddy, and Ziaire Williams are potential beneficiaries from Jackson's absence. Clarke is the favorite to replace Jackson in the starting lineup.
Clarke is averaging 13.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 26.8 minutes per game as a starter this season. Per our NBA Heat Map, the Grizzlies’ implied total (119.0) is No. 12 out of 14 active teams today.
