Marcus Smart (ankle) could remain out for Celtics through break
Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart (ankle) said he's unsure if he will return before the All-Star break on Tuesday.
Smart initially said he expected to miss "a week or two" after injuring his ankle on January 21, but he said Tuesday that there isn't a clear timeline to return. "We’re just taking it day by day," the veteran guard said. Derrick White is expected to remain in the starting lineup while Smart is sidelined.
numberFire's models project White for 30.0 minutes and 27.6 FanDuel points on Wednesday versus the Brooklyn Nets. He's averaging 31.8 FanDuel points and 31.3 minutes over the last four games since Smart injured his ankle, with 15.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 2.5 3-pointers per contest.
