Luka Doncic (ankle) expected to be day-to-day for Mavericks
Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic is expected to be day-to-day with a "mild" ankle sprain, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Doncic exited Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns early in the first quarter after spraining his ankle. He might be held out for a game or two, but Doncic appears to have avoided a serious injury. Spencer Dinwiddie and Tim Hardaway Jr. both played 40 minutes on Thursday while Reggie Bullock and Josh Green logged at least 30 minutes each off the bench. Dinwiddie led the Mavericks with 36 points on 10-18 field goals.
Dinwiddie registered a team-high 31.6% usage rate on Thursday as Doncic only played three minutes before leaving. He totaled 55.7 FanDuel points with 36 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 3-pointers, and 1 turnover.
