Brandon Ingram (toe) returning Wednesday for Pelicans
New Orleans Pelicans small forward Brandon Ingram (left big toe contusion) will return on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Barring any setbacks during pregame warmups, Ingram is ready to return from a two-month absence. The Pelicans will presumably restrict Ingram's minutes to some extent in his first game back, but Trey Murphy or Jaxson Hayes will still likely lose a starting spot. There will also be fewer opportunities for Naji Marshall (toe), Dyson Daniels (ankle), and Jose Alvarado moving forward.
numberFire's models project Ingram for 25.4 minutes and 28.7 FanDuel points on Wednesday, and he has a $7,500 salary on the Main slate. Per our NBA Heat Map, the Pelicans’ implied total (116.0) is No. 14 out of 20 active teams today.
