DeMar DeRozan (quad) idle at Bulls shootaround Wednesday
Chicago Bulls guard/forward DeMar DeRozan (quad) didn't participate in the morning shootaround on Wednesday.
DeRozan watched the shootaround in street clothes, so the Bulls will likely not have his services available for Wednesday night's game against the Washington Wizards. He injured his quad in Monday's game versus the Boston Celtics and had to leave early. Patrick Williams could start in place of DeRozan, but the Bulls could also go smaller with Alex Caruso (ankle, probable), Coby White, or Goran Dragic. Zach LaVine should see an uptick in usage rate if DeRozan misses his first game of the season. DeRozan leads the Bulls with a 29.0% usage rate through 41 games.
numberFire's models project DDR for 36.1 minutes and 40.4 FanDuel points on Wednesday, and he has an $8,400 salary on the Main slate. Per our NBA Heat Map, the Bulls’ implied total (115.5) is No. 9 out of 16 active teams today.
