Damian Lillard drops 25 points in Trail Blazers' Game 2 loss
Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard (chest cold) looked much better in Tuesday's Game 2 loss to the Golden State Warriors, scoring 25 points on 8-of-20 shooting with six assists, four boards, two steals and six 3-pointers.
What It Means:
He took over the game in the third quarter with 17 points, but Lillard cooled off down the stretch and failed to score in the fourth quarter. To be fair, the whole Portland team cooled off as they scored just 12 points in the fourth compared to 34 by Golden State. The Blazers have lost the first two games but will try to get back on track with the series shifting to Portland for Game 3 on Saturday.
Lillard owned the 22nd best nERD in the regular season at 7.1. He's averaging 23.4 points, 5.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 3.4 3-pointers per game so far in the playoffs, although he is shooting just 36.6 percent from the floor.
