Indiana's Myles Turner closes season with a four-point outing

Indiana Pacers forward/center Myles Turner's shot wasn't falling on Sunday as he went just 2-of-11 from the field for four points during a season-ending loss to the Toronto Raptors.

What It Means:

Turner was visibly frustrated after missing shots, and he didn't fare too well on the boards either, grabbing six rebounds as his team lost the board battle 49-38. Nerves may have played a role in Turner's Game 7 struggles, but his rookie season was nevertheless a triumph. He displayed all the skills the Pacers could have asked for when drafting him No. 11 overall. "He just had a great series," Indiana coach Frank Vogel said after the game. "There's a lot of reason to be excited and hopeful about our future because of that kid."

In his first season in the league, Turner appeared in 60 contests, starting in 30 of them. He averaged 10.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game on a 50.1 Effective Field Goal Percentage. His 0.8 nERD ranked 72nd in the league for the year. Turner also recorded a 9.8 Block Percentage in the first round of the playoffs, which is currently the best mark in the league this postseason.
