George Hill shoots 8-for-11 from the field as Pacers are eliminated

Indiana Pacers guard George Hill made 8-of-11 shots on Sunday to finish with 19 points and three 3-pointers, but he added just one rebound and two assists during the Game 7 defeat to the Raptors in Toronto.

What It Means:

"For this basketball team to succeed, we need to run," Indiana coach Frank Vogel said before the game. "Forcing turnovers is a part of that." Indiana wound up with only eight points in transition while committing five more turnovers than Toronto. They used a 15-2 surge to come within three points late in the fourth quarter, but ultimately it wasn't enough to advance past the first round.

Hill played in 74 games during the regular season, earning a 2.3 nERD, which ranked 57th in the league. In the first round, he averaged 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 3-pointers on an impressive 67.5 Effective Field Goal Percentage.
