Draymond Green notches triple-double in Warriors' victory

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green racked up a triple-double on Sunday with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, helping Golden State earn a 1-0 series lead over the Portland Trail Blazers.

What It Means:

It was Green's second postseason triple-double, and he filled up the boxscore everywhere, adding two 3-pointers, two blocks and one steal with just two turnovers in 37 minutes. He spearheaded a terrific defensive effort, as usual, limiting the Blazers to 40.2 percent shooting in a game that wasn't as close the final score of 118-106.

In the regular season, Green cemented his status as one of the league's best players, flirting with a triple-double on a nightly basis. After a breakout campaign a year ago, Green upped his play again, setting career-best marks across the board in 2015-'16. He averaged 14.0 points, 9.5 boards and 7.5 assists per game while posting a 55.1 Effective Field Goal Percentage -- all which which are career-high numbers.
