Paul George's 26 points, 12 boards not enough in Game 7 loss
Indiana Pacers forward Paul George finished the Pacers' tense 89-84 defeat in Game 7 on Sunday with 26 points, 12 rebounds, four 3-pointers, three steals and one assist.
What It Means:
George made 8-of-18 shots and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. He got off to a torrid start, including a 360 dunk in the first quarter, but Toronto zeroed in on him defensively (forcing seven turnovers). It was nevertheless a tremendous year for George, who bounced back from a lost season (broken leg) a year ago and returned to his old form
He ended the regular season with per-game averages of 23.1 points, 7.0 boards 4.1 assists and 1.9 steals. His 49.0 Effective Field Goal Percentage was right in line with his career average (49.4). George checked in 23rd with a 7.0 nerd.
