Clippers' Blake Griffin (quad) had a bone marrow procedure

Los Angeles Clippers forward/center Blake Griffin had a bone marrow procedure on his injured left quad Wednesday morning.

What It Means:

Griffin wasn't on the Clippers' bench during Game 5 on Wednesday, and now we know why. A recent MRI revealed no further damage to his quad, but there could be more to Griffin's injury than the Clippers have disclosed. He's already been ruled out for the playoffs, and the only good news is he has a full offseason to rest and recuperate.

Griffin played 35 games this year, earning a 2.7 nERD, which fell just outside of the top 50. In the first round, he averaged 15.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists on 37.7 percent shooting from the field.
