Nicolas Batum expected to play off Hornets' bench
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Nicolas Batum (ankle) is expected to play off the bench on Wednesday against the Miami Heat.
What It Means:
It sounds like he will be limited after missing the last two games. Although, Batum did go to head coach Steve Clifford to suggest coming off the bench because of how well the Hornets played without him in Games 3 and 4. He will likely play minutes in the 20s and take run away from Frank Kaminsky, Jeremy Lin, Marvin Williams and Spencer Hawes.
Batum had a big year for the Hornets, averaging 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game in the regular season. He ranked 85th with a -0.5 nERD.
