Ian Mahinmi (back) intends to play in Game 3 for Pacers
Indiana Pacers center Ian Mahinmi (back) said on Wednesday he intends to play through injury during Thursday's Game 3 versus the Toronto Raptors.
Pacers' coach Frank Vogel confirmed the Pacers "are planning for [Mahinmi] to play," and they can certainly use him given how well Jonas Valanciunas has fared in the series. If he can't play, Jordan Hill, Myles Turner and Lavoy Allen will have to make up the difference.
Mahinmi had a very productive season for Indiana, checking in 34th with a 5.2 nERD. He averaged 9.3 points, 7.1 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per game -- all of which are career highs. His 58.9 Effective Field Goal Percentage is a career-best mark for any season in which he played at least 30 games.
