Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Bass will reportedly decline to pickup his player option for the 2016-17 season.
Bass is bound for unrestricted free agency, which is far from surprising given he was not a great fit with the rebuilding Lakers. Bass will likely try and sign a deal to be a reserve with a contender this offseason, which will render him a non-option in most leagues.
Bass was productive with the Lakers, ranking 54th with a 2.7 nERD. In 20.3 minutes per game, he averaged 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
