Utah Jazz center Hassan Whiteside (foot) will not play in Friday's contest against the Charlotte Hornets.
Whiteside will sit out after the veteran center suffered a right foot sprain. Expect Rudy Gay to see more playing time with Utah's second unit against a Hornets' team ranked 23rd in defensive rating.
Gay's Friday projection includes 9.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists.
