Kyrie Irving will not play for Cavaliers in regular season finale
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving (rest) will not play against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.
Matthew Dellavedova should get most of the point guard minutes tonight and plenty of shots, too. Expect to see some Jordan McRae at the point, as well.
Irving has had a bit of a down year through this regular season, averaging 19.6 points and 4.7 assists per game with a 49.6 Effective Field Goal Percentage. His 3.1 nERD ranks 46th in the league. Our models currently project Dellavedova to have 8.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 3-pointers tonight against the Pistons. He ranks 79th with a -0.4 nERD on the year.
