Kyrie Irving may not play for Cavaliers versus Detroit
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving's status for Wednesday is not determined yet.
What It Means:
He is pushing to play, but head coach Tyronn Lue may keep him out. Fantasy owners won't want to trust Irving and he might be limited on minutes if he is playing. If he doesn't play, we'll see a lot of Matthew Dellavedova with some of Jordan McRae.
Irving has had a bit of a down year through this regular season, averaging 19.6 points and 4.7 assists per game with a .496 Effective Field Goal Percentage. His 3.1 nERD ranks 46th in the league. Our models currently project Dellavedova to have 8.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 3-pointers tonight against the Pistons. He ranks 79th with a -0.4 nERD on the year.
