Wizards shipping Spencer Dinwiddie to Mavericks for Kristaps Porzingis
The Dallas Mavericks are acquiring point guard Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans from the Washington Wizards for center Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick.
Dinwiddie should be able to replace Tim Hardaway Jr. (foot) as the Mavericks' primary scorer off the bench. Raul Neto and Ish Smith stand to benefit following Dinwiddie's departure, but the latter likely won't be available for Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.
numberFire's models expect Dinwiddie to average 28.4 minutes, 14.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 0.7 steals, and 2.2 3-pointers per game over the rest of the season for the Mavericks.
