Clippers expected to rest players Wednesday
The Los Angeles Clippers are expected to rest "players" in their regular season finale versus the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
Los Angeles has two remaining games, but it sounds like most of the heavy hitters will have just one contest left on their schedule. While it's currently unclear who would be a candidate to sit, the usual suspects (Griffin, Chris Paul, J.J. Redick and DeAndre Jordan) are likely to be among those watching form the sidelines while guys like Paul Pierce (ankle, rest), Wes Johnson (feet) and Austin Rivers (ankle) could get a maintenance day before the playoffs begin, as well. Keep a close eye on the situation as it will impact season-long leagues that go to the very end and will prompt different DFS strategies, as well.
The Clippers are currently tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for third in the league, based on numberFire's Team Power Rankings. Our models give the Clips a 6.9 percent chance of winning the championship this year, which are the fourth-best odds in the NBA.
