Deandre Ayton (ankle) expected out again Thursday for Suns
Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, per head coach Monty Williams.
Williams said Ayton "didn't do anything" on the court at Wednesday's practice. Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic believes Ayton will miss a second straight game on Thursday versus the Dallas Mavericks. That should result in larger roles for Bismack Biyombo and Javale McGee again.
Biyombo played 24.8 minutes off the bench and scored 37.3 FanDuel points on Wednesday. McGee produced 18.6 FanDuel points over 23.2 minutes as the Suns' starting center. The Suns play a Mavericks team on Thursday that is giving up the fifth-most real points per game to the center position this season.
