Miami enters Gabe Vincent into league protocols, out Wednesday
The Miami Heat entered point guard Gabe Vincent into COVID-19 protocols.
The Heat added Vincent and P.J. Tucker to their protocols list Wednesday, less than 24 hours after they submitted Max Strus. Kyle Lowry remains in protocols and Jimmy Butler (ankle) has been ruled out Wednesday, so Tyler Herro will likely enter the starting lineup and see a spike in usage. Caleb Martin and Duncan Robinson should also take on larger roles on offense while Marcus Garrett and new addition Kyle Guy are in line for additional minutes.
Herro and Butler were the only two Heat players with usage rates above 21.5% on Tuesday. The Heat are in a pace-up spot on Wednesday against a Spurs team that plays at the second-fastest tempo in the NBA this season.
