Grizzlies to be without Mike Conley for rest of season, playoffs

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley (Achilles) has been informed it will be in his best interest not to return to action until the 2016-'17 season, according to Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

What It Means:

He was re-evaluated last week to get this prognosis. Conley is still walking with a limp, has soreness and is still wearing a walking boot. He will be a free agent this summer, but the Grizzlies will likely do all they can to bring him back. It'll be Jordan Farmar starting at point the rest of the way.

Conley has a nERD of 3.3, which ranks 41st among all players this season. Before going down, he was averaging 15.3 points, 6.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
