Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose (left elbow contusion) will not return on Thursday.
What It Means:
He was playing through pain in the first half, and he headed to the locker room for a brief moment in the first half. Rose not playing in basically a must-win situation doesn't bode well for his chances going forward. He's a cut candidate in fantasy after going scoreless tonight. Aaron Brooks started the second half.
Rose's nERD of -8.0 ranks fourth-worst in the league this season, but he is averaging 16.8 points, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 32 minutes per game. Rose has played his most games since his MVP season in 2010-'11, and his Effective Field Goal Percentage of 45.8 percent is his highest since 2011-'12.
