Joel Embiid (knee) questionable for 76ers on Thursday
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday against the Detroit Pistons.
Embiid shot 28.6% from the floor and scored a season-low 14 points on Tuesday. According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Embiid has been playing through significant knee pain after bumping knees with Jonas Valanciunas in the first game of the season. With that in mind, the 76ers may decide to give Embiid the night off Thursday against a winless Pistons squad. Andre Drummond would likely start if Embiid sits and Tobias Harris would take on a larger offensive role.
Embiid is pacing the 76ers' rotation with a 28.7% usage rate and averaging 43.0 FanDuel points per game. Harris is registering a team-high 38.8% usage rate without Embiid on the court this season.
