Orlando's Andrew Nicholson scores career-high 24 points
Orlando Magic forward Andrew Nicholson hit all nine of his shots, including three from downtown, on his way to a career-high 24 points, three rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets.
Ersan Ilyasova was ruled out before the game, and the Magic blew out the Nets, so Nicholson got some extra run. He made the most of it. Nicholson has not had too much consistency yet in his career, but he has played well in his last six games, scoring in double digits in five of those contests.
Nicholson has a nERD of -0.6 this season, but in his last six games, the fourth-year big man is averaging 14.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in under 17 minutes per game. During that stretch, he has an Effective Field Goal Percentage of 66.4 percent.
