Kobe Bryant (shoulder) 50-50 to play Friday for Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Kobe Bryant (shoulder) has a 50-50 chance of suiting up for Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns, according to Lakers' coach Byron Scott.

What It Means:

Bryant is likely headed for yet another game-time decision, and at this point in the fantasy season, it doesn't make sense to roster The Black Mamba in most settings. Metta World Peace will draw the start if Bryant sits, and he'd be on the radar as a potential punt play in daily leagues given the matchup. Another update should be available following Friday morning's shootaround.

Bryant owns the second worst nERD this season at -9.7. He's averaging 16.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while posting a career worst 46.3 True Shooting Percentage. If Bryant plays Friday, we project him to score 16.5 points, grab 4.2 boards and dish out 3.5 assists while shooting 36 percent from the floor.
