Rodney Hood (back) will try to play Friday for Jazz

Utah Jazz guard/forward Rodney Hood (back) went through the morning shootaround and remains questionable to face the Washington Wizards on Friday.

What It Means:

Hood said he is going to try and play, so it sounds like his owners can plug him back into active lineups. The Jazz are chasing the eighth seed in the West, so they have every incentive to get Hood back into the rotation. Chris Johnson will return to the bench if Hood is cleared.

Hood has the 58th-best nERD this season at 1.8. He's averaging 14.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while posting a 54.4 True Shooting Percentage in 61 games played. If he plays Friday, we project him to score 14.6 points, grab 3.6 rebounds and dish out 2.9 assists while shooting 42.1 percent from the floor.
