Pelicans' Toney Douglas to start Friday
New Orleans Pelicans guard Toney Douglas will start on Friday versus the Memphis Grizzlies with Orlando Johnson moving to the bench.
Norris Cole (back) is expected to miss his second straight game, and Johnson was ineffective in a start versus the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Jrue Holiday will be running the offense, so Douglas is only worth a look in deeper leagues for owners in need of short-term help.
Douglas owns a -0.4 nERD, which ranks 80th, in 42 games played this season. He's averaging 6.1 points, 1.7 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game while posting a 53.2 True Shooting Percentage. We project Douglas to score 13.7 points, dish out 4.1 assists and grab 2.6 rebounds against Memphis while shooting 39.8 percent from the floor.
