Norris Cole out, Orlando Johnson moves into Pelicans' starting lineup
New Orleans Pelicans guard Norris Cole (back) will not play on Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets, and guard Orlando Johnson will start in his place.
This will be Alvin Gentry's 30th different starting lineup, and the New Orleans' injury list just keeps growing. Johnson just signed a 10-day contract yesterday, if that gives you any indication of how bad of shape the Pelicans' backcourt is in right now. Even though Johnson is starting, expect Toney Douglas to get plenty of run with Cole out.
Cole has the 11th worst nERD this season at -6.4. He is averaging 10.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 26.6 minutes per game.
