Glen Rice Jr. scores 16 more for Rockets in narrow loss

Glen Rice Jr. continues to score the ball well for the Rockets in summer league, adding 16 points on Wednesday in Houston's 97-93 loss to Milwaukee.

What It Means:

This was Rice's first game in four summer league contests without at least 20 points, and he is currently averaging 21.0 points per game on 44.3% shooting from the field. Rice doesn't have much of an NBA track record, playing in just 16 contests in the past two seasons for the Washington Wizards.

He has maintained an Effective Field Goal Percentage of just 32.7% on 52 field goal attempts in those games with Washington. Rice was the MVP of the Las Vegas Summer League last year, and he's doing his best to secure another MVP award, but making the rotation for the Houston Rockets, the eighth-best team in the NBA last year according to our power rankings, might still be a tough task for the third-year player.
