Boston's Jaylen Brown (wrist) to undergo season-ending surgery
The Boston Celtics announced that forward Jaylen Brown will undergo season-ending wrist surgery later this week.
It's a devastating blow for both Brown and the Celtics. Brown, who was having an incredible fifth season in the league, was diagnosed with a torn scapholunate ligament in his left wrist that will require surgery to repair.
Brown's breakout season featured him averaging 24.7 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, as well as 39.5 fantasy points per game. His loss will be difficult for the Celtics to overcome as they prepare a run for the NBA playoffs.
