Tyus Jones will miss tonight's game against Portland
Minnesota has given Tyus Jones approval to miss their Las Vegas Summer League game tonight in order to attend the ESPYs.
After wining a national championship with Duke, success hasn't come as easily for Jones in the Summer League. He is averaging 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 3.0 turnovers in three games.
After a brief hiatus in LA at the ESPYs, Jones will need to bare down and focus on his shooting (33.3% from the field thus far) and taking care of the ball. Jones' assist to turnover ratio of 0.433 would likely earn him serious bench minutes under Flip Saunders.
