Stephen Curry (tailbone) reportedly misses Warriors practice
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry did not practice Thursday after injuring his tailbone during Wednesday's win over the Houston Rockets, reports Wes Goldberg of Mercury News.
Curry exited Wednesday's game during the third quarter with a bruised tailbone and did not return. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expressed optimism that Curry wouldn't miss much time but his status for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies is uncertain. Nico Mannion would likely replace Curry in the starting lineup and there would be larger offensive roles for Kelly Oubre and Andrew Wiggins.
Wiggins is registering a plus-5.6 percent usage differential without Curry on the court this season and he's averaging 0.9 FanDuel points per minute in those situations. Oubre sees a 3.8 percent usage boost when Curry isn't on the floor and is also averaging 0.9 FanDuel points per mintue.
