Austin Rivers (personal) downgraded to out Monday for Knicks

New York Knicks guard Austin Rivers (personal) will not play Monday against the Brooklyn Nets.

What It Means:

Rivers was listed as available to play on the previous injury report but he will remain out Monday. The veteran guard hasn't played since February 13. Derrick Rose (protocols) is also out while Elfrid Payton (hamstring) is doubtful, so Immanuel Quickley should see plenty of burn. He scored 21 points with 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 3 triples in the Knicks' last game.

Quickley should be able to benefit in a pace-up spot Monday as the Knicks, who run the slowest offense in the NBA, will face a Nets team that plays at the eighth-fastest pace. numberFire’s models project Quickley for 29.3 FanDuel points versus the Nets and he has a salary of $4,600 on Monday’s eight-game slate. The rookie is our third-best overall value available Monday.
