Elfrid Payton (hamstring) now questionable for Knicks Thursday

New York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton (sore right hamstring) has been upgraded to questionable for Thursday's game against the Detroit Pistons.

What It Means:

Payton hasn't played in over a week and appeared headed for another absence after previously being listed as doubtful. Derrick Rose (health protocols) and Frank Ntilikina (quad) are also questionable for Thursday's contest. Ntilikina made the start on Tuesday with Payton and Rose both sidelined. Immanuel Quickley could be in for a busy night if the Knicks are missing multiple point guards again.

Ntilikina scored 14.4 FanDuel points in 25 minutes as a starter on Tuesday. He has a salary of $4,000 on Thursday's nine-game slate. The Pistons rank among the top-10 teams in the NBA in FanDuel points allowed per game to the point guard position.
