Rockets reportedly holding Christian Wood (ankle) out through break
The Houston Rockets want to keep forward/center Christian Wood (ankle) out until the All-Star break, reports Kelly Iko of The Athletic.
Wood recently said he was hoping to return before the break but the Rockets apparently have other plans. Houston only has four more games before the half. P.J. Tucker has been filling in at the five and has come up scoreless in each of his last three games, despite playing 30 minutes in two of those contests. He's pulled down 17 rebounds in that span. Justin Patton is the only traditional center available for Friday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors. He played over 20 minutes in his season debut on Monday but only 12 minutes on Wednesday.
numberFire’s models project Patton for 20.7 minutes and 18.6 FanDuel points versus the Raptors. He has a salary of $3,500 on Friday’s nine-game slate. Tucker has the same salary and is projected for 16.0 FanDuel points over 30.9 minutes.
